Here are a set of IT Security Policies I wrote for a company I recently sold, Working Fire Training Systems.
This is an instructional manual from the Missouri Nurses Association for hospital administrators to help guide them when working with chemically dependent nurses.
I worked with a psychiatrist to develop this PowerPoint on women's PostPartum Mood Disorders for Centerpointe Hospital.
This is a web-based product manual for a company that makes products for fire trucks: lighting, pumps, governors, etc. I designed and coded the site, wrote all the technical specification sheets and promotional one-sheeters, and produced many of the videos.
Web-based Product ManualThis is an example of technical writing for an instructional design online course which I have done many of. This is the lesson plan for this particular course for paramedics and EMTs with video as well. The course would be built for the learning portal from the lesson plan. I inserted the video into the lesson plan so you can see how it all fits together. I also wrote the script for the videos using CMEs.
This is another example of technical writing for an instructional design online "how-to" demonstration course excuted in Storyline 2. This was a demo version of a video instruction manual which I put together with internet video samples as a spec for the client. If this were produced for real, I would also shoot and edit the video -- another skill I have. I also voiced the course.
This was an exercise to show my ability to render manuals or instructional guides in software. I took an already existing user manual and recreated a few pages of it using Adobe InDesign, very similar to FrameMaker. The idea was to recreate the original as exactly as possible. View the "Original" version first, and then look at the "Revised" version. The product is an audio compressor by Behringer.

I'm kind of a fanatic about grammar and punctuation. In fact, I work with university students on their scholarly papers as an editor and advisor. Here are two sample papers with my corrections indicated. These particular papers followed the APA (American Psychological Association) stylesheet. All this helps me to deliver a quality product.
